Prayer Meeting
On the third Sunday of each month, we set aside an hour before our 10:00 a.m. service to devote time to praying for our church, our city, and our world. There is no pressure to pray aloud; you can simply come with your requests, or even just to listen. Coffee will be provided.

Congregational Meal
Our next congregational meal is this Sunday, May 5th, after the service. We’ll cater this meal, so just bring yourself!
Creation Care Sunday
We’re heading outdoors! At HTC North Side, we believe in the importance of caring for and stewarding well the world around us. For this reason, we’re moving our 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning service in Roscoe Village to LaBagh Woods. In this service, we’ll sing and hear a message from Pastor Kyle Edwards about what it means for us as Christians to care for the world around us.

Missions Week
We’re excited to announce our 2nd annual missions week. This year, we’ll kickoff missions week with a dinner on Friday night at our Downtown congregation. The rest of the week, we will study what Scripture has to say about missions, and we will hear from one of our Global Missions Partners on Sunday morning.
Missions Week Kickoff Dinner
Curious to learn more about how HTC is involved in global missions? Join us for dinner on April 19th, 2024, at our Downtown location (218 S Wabash, 2nd Floor
Chicago, IL 60604). Here we will hear from Senior Pastor Jon Dennis, learn from one of our GMP partners, and pray for our current GMPs and future missions work around the world. RSVP for dinner here.
Congregational Meeting
In preparation for the end of the fiscal year, we will be having a congregational meeting following the service on April 14th. Here we will discuss our current budget and the 2024-2025 budget. We will also address current volunteer needs.
Easter Sunday
Looking for a church service this Easter Sunday? Join us at 10:00 a.m. in the heart of Roscoe Village. In our service, we will sing, recite liturgies and prayers, and hear a message from God’s Word. After the service, there will be an Easter egg hunt for the children, and we will enjoy a meal together. All are welcome!
Good Friday Service
Join us for our Good Friday service on March 29th at 6:30PM hosted by Addison Street Community Church. In this service, musicians from both congregations will lead us in worship. We will also have Scripture reading, listen to a message, and share in communion together.
Winter Retreat
SAVE THE DATE! February 16th through the 18th, we’re heading back up to Lake Geneva for our 2nd annual Winter Retreat at Conference Point. So, mark your calendars and we’ll have more details for you in the coming weeks.
Game Night
Game Night is back! As usual, Game Night will begin at 5:00 p.m. Bring your favorite games and snacks. We will provide drinks and ramen.
Bonfire Night
Save the date for October 20. All are invited to the home of the Edwards (5031 North Major Avenue) for a backyard bonfire at 6:00 p.m. No agenda here other than to hang out and enjoy the fall weather (hopefully). We’ll probably fire up the grill, but BYO pumpkin spice lattes.
End of Summer Game Night
Summer is coming to an end, so we want to go out with a bang. For our last game night of the summer on August 27th we’re going to make it a proper party. We’ll have a bouncy house, ice cream truck, and maybe some grilling. Come out for that, bring a friend if you like, and let’s finish the summer properly.
All-Church Baptism Picnic
We can’t believe our third and final all-church picnic for the summer is almost here. Join us on August 23rd at 6:30 p.m. at 31st Street Beach. We’ll enjoy a time of fellowship and baptism. A Gathering Church: Teacher Training Lunch
All are invited to stay for a special lunch after church on August 20th for a lesson on teaching the Bible to other people, especially in small group and one-on-one settings. Please RSVP here or on Sunday at the Welcome Table.
Retro on Roscoe
This weekend, we’ll have a booth set up on Roscoe Street for the annual Retro on Roscoe event. Join us at our table as we talked to neighbors, share about our ministries, and hand out some of our booklets. Or, just swing by to say hi and enjoy the event! Sharing a meal is one of the main ways relationships are established, deepened, and enjoyed both with God and with others. These meals are fully catered and we invite you to join us!

Beach Day Away
Can’t get away for our whole HTC Camping Trip? Well then join us for the day at Illinois Beach State Park. We’ll spend the day hiking, swimming, and relaxing on the beach. More details to follow soon.

Growth Group – Relational Conflict: How to Problem Solve and Strengthen Your Relationships
This group is helpful for anyone in family relationships, partner relationships and social/work relationships. It is not uncommon to face conflict, problems or disagreement in our interpersonal relationships and it can really be expected. This group will focus on discussing common themes of conflict, the emotions we feel in response and learn communication strategies to better communicate in relationships when problems arise.
